THE NINJA
SCROLLS

Late-Sengoku infiltration. Shadows, rooftops, and silence. Stay out of the lantern light, take the roof line, and leave before anyone knows you were there.

In development. Android is the lead platform; Windows and Linux builds are on the download page.

The night

Light is the enemy. Everything else is a tool.

01

Shadow is a mechanic, not a mood

Every lantern, brazier and moonlit courtyard feeds a live illumination map. Crouching, pressing to a wall, and standing still all change how visible you are. Cut the lights and a patrol route becomes a corridor you own.

02

Get seen and the whole village hunts you

Guards, archers, dogs and civilians share one alert state. A sentry who spots you shouts, and everyone converges on your last known position. Break the sight line, hide in a pot or a cupboard, take the rafters, and wait for the search to cool.

03

Rooftops, lofts and ceiling rafters

Buildings are traversable inside and out. Climb a ladder into the loft and the roof fades away so you can work the beams above a room, watching a patrol pass underneath.

04

The full period-Japanese kit

Kaginawa grapple, shuriken, kunai, makibishi, smoke and noise bombs, poisons, disguises and decoys — nineteen tools, each on a loadout budget you choose before you go in.

What's in it

A campaign, not a slice.

14 missions

A training courtyard plus thirteen infiltrations, each ranked on stealth, mercy and speed.

Two shinobi

Takeshi takes a hit and keeps going. Kaede is faster and quieter. Same missions, different night.

Rotatable iso camera

A pseudo-isometric camera you can spin and zoom, with cinematic angles in scripted places.

Built for phones

Touch controls, quality tiers, and a battery-saver mode. Controller and keyboard on desktop.

Fully offline

Local saves, no account, no connection required. The opening chapter is free.

Original work

Original code, levels, characters and audio. Licensed art is credited in the shipped manifest.

The look

Moonlight, wet tile, paper walls.

In development

An original stealth game, honestly labelled.

The Ninja Scrolls takes its inspiration from classic PS1 stealth, but the code, levels, characters, missions and audio are our own. It is playable end to end and still being built — level art and lighting are the current pass, so gameplay captures land here when they do the game justice.
